About Us
Envision Laser Centers is a company committed to providing affordable laser vision correction to people in Central, PA. Because LASIK is an elective procedure, we disqualify a much higher percentage of patients(compared to many other providers) from LASIK simply because the procedure does not meet the individuals expectations-something the National LASIK chains with their sales goals and relentless sales tactics often fail to do. We want to make sure that patients are highly educated and all of their expectations are real. It is this commitment to the best interest of the patient that sets us apart from the majority of other LASIK providers.
Our History
Envision Laser Centers was formed in June of 2004 when Medical Director, Dr. Ketan Patel and General Manager, Dave Vance decided to provide the people of Central PA quality LASIK at an affordable price.
After years of working for National LASIK chains, the frustration over the lack of quality care and the unscrupulous advertising tactics often used by these LASIK companies, instilled a new found focus to both Dr. Patel and GM Dave Vance. By providing the skill of a world class surgeon, advanced laser technology, and an affordable pricing structure, Envision Laser Centers created a LASIK model based on the best interest of the patient and not soley on the profitability of a corporation.
After the success of our first LASIK location in Altoona, Envision Laser Centers opened thier second location in Johnstown, PA in July, 2007. Immediately, the word of our amazing patient outcomes and exceptional patient care spread throughout Johnstown. In less than six months, we became the most chosen LASIK provider in the Johnstown area.
Future Plans
Our first LASIK surgery center located @ 1424 11th Avenue, Altoona was followed by our second LASIK facility, when Envision Laser Centers teamed with the esteemed Ophthalmic Associates to provide quality LASIK at their surgical facility on 1318 Eisenhower Boulevard in Richland. Envision Laser Centers also have satellite offices in State College and Latrobe to offer conveniant locations for patients to have pre-operative and post-operative examininations .
Our goal is to continue to grow as we find other quality practices that are committed to providing the best patient care. Eventually, we are looking to add a third LASIK surgery center in the Greensburg, Murrysville, Monroeville area. By expanding our reach, we are opening avenues for people reliant on glasses and contacts to have a safe, affordable, quality LASIK alternative.
